About our Dogs
All our dogs are currently fostered in our own homes and are available for adoption directly from us. Although we do not currently have a shelter, we hope that in time (and lots of fundraising) we will be able to build our own animal sanctuary with kennels to take in more dogs. In order for us to take in more rescues, we need your help to promote and share our dogs so we can get them to their Forever Families making space for more dogs in need!
We also work with a number of Local Council dog pounds in Limassol. Unlike some pounds in Cyprus, these ones do not euthanise the dogs after 15 days if not claimed. Because of this there are dogs that have been in there for years. We help to provide medical treatment for these dogs where needed and then promote them for adoption directly from the pounds
About Us
Kiveli Georgiou has been a passionate and devoted rescuer for many years and has saved countless abused, abandoned and injured dogs. She helps to get them the medical treatment they need and with the help of other rescue charities, eventually find them their Forever Homes.
Since 2020 Chris Earl and Josef Wardingley have been supporting Kiveli by providing a safe and caring foster home for many of her rescues. They have also rescued dogs themselves which Kiveli has helped to provide treatment for and to be rehomed too.
In 2023 they decided to take the next steps to set up Elysium Animal Rescue so that they can continue their important and much needed work for the endless stream of dogs being found in terrible conditions across Cyprus.
Mission

We are dedicated to rescuing dogs and ​providing them with the care they ​desperately need. Every donation we ​receive goes directly towards covering ​medical expenses and ongoing care for ​the dogs we save.
