Charlie’s Story

Charlie was found as a stray wondering the streets of our village. He was not only clearly malnourished but also had a wound to his abdomen. After taking him immediately to the vet it was also found that Charlie was (unsurprisingly!) also infected with the usual parasite transmitted diseases.

As soon as Kiveli brought him home and Chris and Joe saw him they immediately wanted to help care for him. And that was when they decided they would foster Charlie, not realising that he would be the first of many!

In foster, Charlie recovered quickly. He completed all his treatments for his infections. His injury was already starting to heal and he started to put on weight! His character began to blossom and not only was Charlie playful and affectionate but because he had most of his tail missing (barbaric docking procedure that is supposed to be banned in Cyprus!) he would always be wagging his ‘tail’ which meant his bum would be wiggling constantly!

Fortunately it wasn’t too long before Charlie was spotted and adopted by the most wonderful Forever Family! He now has endless adventures with his doggy sister Honey, a gorgeous retriever. And Charlie is especially lucky as his mum is amazing at taking photos and so every side is Charlie’s best side!
